Hooo are youuu?

NightOwlCrafting
This weeks Questions:
1. Do you ever burp out loud in private or public?
2. How often do you get sick each year?
3. Would you rather paint a room in your house yourself, or have someone else do it for you?
4. If you get 30 minutes to yourself, what do you do?
5. Do you allow people to wear shoes in your house?

My answers:

1. Do you ever burp out loud in private or public?
No. I never even burp really...honestly. It's pretty sad,
especially when J's trying to make lots of loud burps knowing I can't
do it back. How sick are we, haha.

2. How often do you get sick each year?
Not often really. I feel sick to my stomach a lot and get colds, but nothing
too serious! (Knock on wood..)

3. Would you rather paint a room in your house yourself,
or have someone else do it for you?
Someone else, please. Originally I would have said me...
but after my experience painting my old bathroom, I think I'll pass. HA.

4. If you get 30 minutes to yourself, what do you do?
I have HOURS to myself, daily. This is what happens when your 19, no kids, and your boy is deployed. I do homework (kinda), blog, facebook, chat with friends online, stuff my face, and watch tv. Pretty lame right? However, once the homework is taken out of the occasion (for ex: Christmas break), then I will be reading in my free time.
I cannot wait to read some of the books I have waiting for me to read!

5. Do you allow people to wear shoes in your house?
As long as they aren't wet, muddy, or dirty in anyway.
I'd prefer if they took them off.

Shopping, party, school, friends, and more!

Yes, I have been busy the past few days/weekend, as always and have still been lacking on my posts
 (until today). So I apologize!

I DID go shopping at Kohl's the other day, and spent $70 on myself...which was a pain to subtract from my checkbook since I've come to hate spending money on myself, but I did get great deals and I absolutely love my new clothes! Here's a picture of everything except the second pair of leggings I got (I already had them on the moment I got home).::

Yes, I got ALL that. I'm still quite proud. Even a cute winter peacoat and those boots!
Now that's called bargain shoppin!

The next day I wore my grey leggings, that sweater dress/belt and those booties to my momma's craft show, and then to my cousin's birthday party.  He turned 4, and he was actually adopted a few years ago from Guatemala :)  I kept catching myself watching him play and just trying to picture where he would be right now had my cousins not adopted him...and how he now has a wonderful life with food, clothes, a home, toys, and endless opportunities in life. It really hit me this weekend how special that is. <3

Also this weekend, I've actually done pretty good on catching up on homework...I guess that's the one advantage about not having many friends up here yet....is there is plenty o'time for homework. sigh.
In between homework and reading blogs, and facebook..I also went and applied and/or checked in on jobs.
I really hope to be getting a new job SOON.
My hours this week are beyond shitty. so weird and random hours. It aggravates me so much.
I wish I could just get a 9-5 job! How nice that would be.
Oh well, it'll all workout sometime...hopefully sooner rather than latter!

Friends. I love my friends...my blogger friends, and then the few close friends I do have.
Tonight I created/ordered my free Christmas cards and after I did so, I posted a blog on here of the card, and I sent the link of my blog to one of my closest friends, Carla. I had to have her input on my card!
And with doing so, she decided to start her own blog! (which I think will be great for her :) )
So with that being said, please please please go check out her blog @
She needs some followers and support in her new blog!
You guys remember how it was starting out :)

And with that being said, I know it's a little late but it's also Meet Me Monday
Go here and link up and find some other bloggers you'd like to follow!!

That's about all I can think of for now, its off to do more homework, eat more junk, watch more t.v., and go to bed....school and work all day tomorrow, yippeeeeee.

OH yeah, I totally stole this idea from Brit over @ Life of The All American Army Wife.
but speaking of the Christmas cards thing, I know I don't have
50 people to send cards too, so I'd love for some of you to send me your
address to your email if you'd like to receive a card :) PLEASE!

Christmas Card time already?!

As some of you may know (or will know now), Jon gets to come home December 3rd thru 7th, before heading off to the sandbox.  This means that we will be doing our Christmas and gift exchanges amongst eachother TWENTY days before Christmas....so needless to say, my mind has been focusing on all the Christmas details already.  (And if you know me, I don't like to focus on holidays months in advance lol).

Anyways, one of my favorite things to do is writing out my Christmas cards and sending them. Yes you heard me right, favorite.  I love receiving cards and they are so meaningful, and I enjoy having the option to make someone's day just by a thoughtful card.

This year, Shutterfly is offering Free Christmas cards to us bloggers...YES, FREE.
[Bloggers get 50 free holiday cards from Shutterfly… learn more: http://bit.ly/sfly2010 ]

I'm sooo excited because this year I am going to send out Christmas cards that are from Jon & I both. We aren't married so it's not like I've sent out Christmas cards from us BOTH before, until NOW hehe. I love how Shutterfly has so many options of different cards/layouts/patterns/saying to choose from. You can definitely have one very unique and cute card!

Some of my favorites are these:

You can see more and more options here:
and here:

Also as I was browsing around, I came across Calendars that you can make with your pictures! This is the PERFECT gift for your deployed soldier, or even grandparents. Jon's mom has been wanting to make a calendar for him so that he has it overseas and can keep track of everyone's birthdays, anniversaries, etc.

I found this super adorable layout calendar that you would make uniquely yours:

Shutterfly has sooooo many options for many different things, and I just know I'm going to become obsessed with Shutterfly now!
You should check it out and get YOUR FREE 50 cards too! Yay for us bloggers :) <3

Veteran's Day (Day 53)

On an exciting note, only 22 days (or just 3 weeks from tomorrow) until I see my boyyyy! EEECK.

Ok, back to my normal daily life now.  Today I went out with my momma & two year old sister Sarah. (She's tooo dang cute). I just tagged along as mom ran her errands and we went to Olive Garden to eat...oh man was that food amazing. I was full from salad and breadsticks before my actual meal even came..which was this five cheese ziti. Ahhh! Now I wish I could have some of it now..oh wells.
Anyways, came back home and had to take a much needed nap. And since then I've done absolutely nothing productive..go figure right. Especially since I have a huge pile of homework that needs to be done..atleast I have Saturday & Sunday off work! hehe...speaking of work I'm still hoping for another job. I'll keep my mouth shut though so I don't end up jinxing myself like always.

Alsoooooo, Happy Veteran's Day! I feel the same as all of you on this day, that's for sure. Words can't express my thankfulness and gratitude and respect and pride on this day. So I'll leave it at that, I'm sure you've already heard everyone else talk about Veteran's Day today.
Here's a picture of my Army man and I :) Good times.

On another note, I got another blog award! (I believe it was yesterday I recieved it).

Thanks!

I absolutely love receiving this awards, and I can't believe people actually
enjoy my random thoughts put into a so called blog :) <3

My new buddy

So talk about busy. I know I've been saying that in every post, but it's true. And once I do get the time to get online, I read everyones' new posts (which takes foreverrr btw, but I have to stay updated!), and then by the time I do that, I force myself to get offline so that I can atleast get a few hours of sleep. So I'm sorry everyone! But I haven't been completely m.i.a., I still know what is going on with you all :)

As always life consists of school, homework, work, cleaning, etc. Well this past weekend I finally got a break and a few days off school AND work, so I went back to my hometown. Had so much fun with friends, family, and the future family ;)  (that would be Jon's parents). I also got to bring home Tattoo (the cat), and turn him into an inside cat. Tonight will be our third night together. Nobody would ever guess now that he has never been an inside kitty up until now. He's sooo spoiled, calm (most of the time), and LAZY. And he follows me around the house everywhere. I absolutely love having him around to keep me company, and Jon is glad too. Let's just hope tonight he doesn't want to "play" at 3, 5, & 7 AM like last night.
Here's Tattoo and I:

Another random thing: Today I realized while at work (bored of course) that I get to go shopping for a cute outfit to wear to the airport to pick up Jon for his 4 day pass :D .  Talk about excitement, it's getting SOO close already. That 4 days is going to go by wayyy too fast, and the goodbye for 9 months is going to suck. But it will be so worth it. I can't wait. I need ideas on what I should get for my outfit ladies! Mind you I'm in Ohio and in a month-ish it's going to be COLD outside. However I have been wanting to get a pair of cute black dressy-ish boots...so maybe a cute outfit along with those would do. I need your help :)

That's about all for now, I'll update more here soon (hopefully!),
But feel free to comment, I still get on here everydayyyy.

busy, busy, BUSY

Wow. My days are just flying by..kind of. It's like I look forward to the evening (which my "evening" at home is after 9p.m.), and then it's time to go to bed...even though I end up staying up half the night doing homework or blogging, or watching shows.

On Sunday, I completed my move into my new apartment :) I absolutely love it here. My roommates are really cool. Lemme' tell you some details about it! It's a little "condo" ( I love saying that), aka apartment. Downstairs is the furnished basement, aka Sarah's room (roomie). We don't go down there, it's a mess. Then upstairs is Tracey's room (other roomie), the full bathroom, and my room! Also on the main floor is a living room, half bath, and kitchen. Tracey and Sarah moved in a few months ago and luckily for me, their 3rd roommate had bailed last minute, leaving it available for me to find! Tracey is close to my age and is in college, Sarah is older and graduated, and working.  So far I get along best with Tracey, we hangout more, talk more, are more alike, and ya you get the idea. Anyways, Tracey and I are working on decorating the place, which is going rather slowly due to limited funds (us poor college kids), and limited time. TIME. I NEED MORE TIME. Lol.

This week has been crazy and it's only Tuesday. All I do is breathe, go to classes, go home to change, go to work, come home (at 9:30 pm), do homework, eat (even though my food ends up getting cold cuz i do homework or this), and then finally go to sleep at some absurd hour. Then get up the next morning to go back to work. Yes, these back-to-back shifts are kicking my butt, and school is adding it's kick in there too.
But I did get moving all my stuff accomplished! Now unpacking/decorating my room is on the list in there too.

But Ooo Ooo! I did get my oil changed today in my 30 mins of freetime. And Jon told me that I'm for sure getting his cat from his parents this weekend and bringing him home with me. So I get to have a little friend while he's deployed..and it's his cat! The cat's name is Tattoo, just for future reference..(we have another cat named Pierce. Get it? Tattoo & Pierce!)

Jon and I are doing good. He's been really busy as well so we haven't talked much lately, but hopefully things will calm down soon. Especially since I'm off work after tomorrow until next Tuesday :) Thursday I get girl time, I'm picking my friend up from the airport at night and takin her to her mom's and stayin with her. SO excited. Then Friday morning I'm going to my dad's/the town where Jon and I grew up. So that = more friend time.

So enough with the update, I got my first ever award today as a blogger!

Thank you Devil Dog Darling :))

7 Things About Me:

1.) I am very gifted at drawing (real-life things)...however, I hate it. I hate that it is so time consuming, and I have to be a perfectionist about it. I like to draw things if someone asks me to, or if it's for a tattoo, which is usually the case. I drew both of my tattoos. The last thing I drew was about a month ago, and it was a grenade that a friend (of mine and Jon's) wants to get tattooed on his leg. Yes I thought that was quite different, but hey whatever floats his boat.

2.) I'm such a girly-girl AND a tom-boy. I love to look nice, never rarely leave the house without make-up and my hair done, and I love shopping, the color pink, and girly stuff......On the other hand, I love to hangout with the guys (Jon is the only one of his friends that loves to bring his gf to stuff. And all his friends love having me around, they say that I am one of the guys). I love to get muddy, ride dirtbikes, 4-wheelers, fish. I've been hunting before and shot a deer. All that good stuff.

3.) Sometimes I tend to talk too much...or type too much.....as you can see in this post :)

4.) I have 4 younger siblings...and as awful as it sounds, I kinda have a favorite. She's the youngest and is only TWO years old. Yes, people think she's mine, but I don't care. She acts/looks so much like me and has the greatest personality.

5.) I've recently started (or atleast started to notice) of how OCD I am about things. Not even close to extreme, but I'm pretty picky :X

6.) I have TEN piercings. 4 in each ear, belly button, and tongue. besides a few in my ears, they were all done after I turned 18. And, I always thought tongue piercings were trashy, and I understand if you think that as well. But I've come to love it :P

7.) I despise automatic car washes. They make me sick to my stomach and feel claustrophobic. When I was little, I loved automatic car washes and thought they were so neat. Now idk why, but I throw up if I go thru one...found that out the hard way LOL.

Now here's my 7:

Tress - Expat Girl at The Sand is Different Here
Cuatro - Abbey G. at Trading Diamonds for Dogtags
Cinco - Katie F. at The Life of an Army Wife
Seis - JG at Me and My SoldierMan

Congrats lovelies :)
